Experimental violist Sydney-born Beatrix Curran also known as Battle-ax presents her first release "Earther/Lysol" via Amen.
The Vienna-based musician and artist describes the EP as ‘real drinkin’, testing the characteristics of her instrument as a means of escapism and immediacy. Earther, the title track, dynamically shifts between shrill string movements and lumbering atmospheres, accelerated by the use of effect pedals, providing emotional charges throughout the piece. Following the same ingredients is Lysol, a collaboration between Battle-ax and DJ Paypal.
