"No Birds Were In The Sky", by Keita Sekihara alias Shattered Form, acts as an audio-manifestation of Keita's experiences travelling as a forgeigner from Tokyo in european cities. As each track represents a shard of his memories of metropolians he visited, Keita's approach to design and compose his sound consists of using samples, spoken word and his own compositions to replicate the adventure through his mind while writing the music.

The conceptual background of Shattered Form's first release is a reference to Keita's alias itself, and also implies a certain disconnectivity within the unconscious connectivity created by Sekihara, as each track illustrates destinies rather than the road from one place to another; the connection remains bleak, but somehow still engraved in Shattered Form's style of production.His EP challanges the listener to enter a condition similar to hysterical paramnesia, confibulating a whole "remembered" world on the basis of few fragments.The acronymous ending track refers to settling down in Coppenhagen, and the title can be interpreted as losing the freedom and continuity of movement."No Birds Were in the Sky" is a gateway to the cosmos of uncertainty, displacement and alienation, in both positive and negative ways, where the traces of the beginning and the end of the so-named cosmos are blurred into a seemingly infinite space.
